I am in BIAL now, leaving for a 24 day vacation to Bhubaneswar. It has been 8 months since I was there. The last time I was in this airport, The WIFI speed was excellent, it was surpassing 1Mbps per user! But today it is so so slow. It can't even run the speedtest.net tests! Even the Draft saving feature of Blogger is failing sometime. I wanted to write about hte CATastrophe on the 1st day 1st show. But that never happened, But in this leisurely time I would like to put my thoughts. 1. I don't know about the Test System Architecture, but then, was the load test never done? 2. From the news reports, I guess they used a Distributed Architecture, I mean individual servers for each test center, How come there were no backup servers? 3. Prometric says it was a virus attack. There has been no recent upsurge in virus activities lately. And even if it was a virus attack, Which I find hard to believe, it is pretty unlikely that only this particular s/w was targetted, because no one knew

Its probably one and half months since I posted something. I thought I would tweet to make up my absence in blogosphere, but that didn't happen either. But I was kind of forced to put on this post. There is yet another reality show, called Rock On, which aims to create a Desi band and send them to the MTV show in somewhere in US. Today, I just felt like going to orkut (Yeah, orkut isn't looking too good these days on my bookmarks, and I promised everyone I knew at college that I will be in touch in orkut! May be its time for a mass scrapping event!) and I read the testimonials, some old, few new, all still bristling with joy and still tell you what you are good at. they instill a new wave of freshness, a new belief in oneself. May be I am getting nostalgic. I don't feel like going to Facebook, probably think that it can't do to me what orkut has done. I need to go, I need to scrap everyone now!

I have been longing to buy something geeky for a long time now. My subconscience tells me to grab something, but then conscience tells me I have really got no use for it. I thought of buying a new 3G phone with GPS, but then thought that 3G isn't here yet (at least for my provider) and I need not waste money on a 3G phone now. On top of that, my 2 year old phone is still in very good shape! I also thought of getting hold of an Android phone (for a very different reason : to use it for a hobby development device), but then, those cell phones are too costly! 30K a pop! Thought of buying an PS3, but then, it has got nothing more than games. Anybody got any ideas? Help me! I will get maniac if these fever doesn't get over

When I renewed my domain name last month, little did I realize that I hardly use it, may be once a fortnight on average. On top that I got the domain for free last year, and it cost me Rs. 600 this year to renew. I just wanted to keep the domain name, though the name is something which will be surely frowned upon in a "Bhadraloka's " house.

I really liked the writing of Great Bong, whose blog link you will find on my bookmarks bar too, and now, I am a big fan of his twitts too! Cause 1st of all, he ain't twitt shit, last of all, he throws shit at shit! Love you GB! (I necessarily do not agree with many of his views, but yeah, he puts the facts quite nicely!)

Reality shows are in news again, contestant porn clips, Real marriage in a reel show, divulging owns inner most secrets, they are all over it. Well, I am not against it. I like the show "Sach ka Saamna", I see how people cope with nothing but the truth. I also get to see how the real Draupadi and/or Sita swayamvar could have been. I DIDN'T (yet) see the so called porn clip. Thank God, the Delhi HC didn't come down to Moral Policing when a PIL was filed against Sach Ka Saamna. I personally don't feel the Real/Reel marriage is going to go a long way. Whats your opinion?Do comment in.

India Govt isn't thinking of the people that it is serving, when they go delaying the 3G spectrum auctions further and further, just with a aim to maximize their profits. But in the end, I guess everybody is loosing. The telco operators & handset manufacturers not having the cutting edge tech to serve the consumers and hence loosing revenue, the govt loosing on the taxes they would have gathered on the revenue, and the consumers are deprived of the facilities. What is the point? It just seems to me there is some family politics and money-exchanging-hands at the telecom ministry. (Can someone tell me when I will get 3G, so that I can have an excuse to change my 2-year-old phone (that still is in pretty good shape, and hence I can't dispose it off!) and get an Android phone!)

Today, in an historic statement, Delhi High Court says that the draconian act 377 no more holds good in todays scenario. That is a little disturbing for me, cause now, Lesbians will also try to "patau" the beautiful girl that I am after, and I also may be approached by Gays. Well, I am just kidding. Fun apart, this really doesn't affect anything in my life, those who wanted to be LGBT (Lesbian - Gay - Bisexual - Transgender) are already following their passion (!) and I have got nothing to do with. And I believe, all the politicians, religious Gurus also stop shouting at the microphone that they do not approve this. Not really going to help them. Atleast, a couple of days before US independence day, India looks Independent.

Ok, I am not the first one, neither the last one, just that it feels good, like good ol' college days, no rules, no helmet, cold breeze brushing past your face, ruffling your hair, making you feel like there are no strings attached! Of course saved 400 ml of petrol today, did very little pollution, but thats all "Dikhawa!". I love to cycle, and it was just a gesture of the same love. (I gotta cycle back to home too, and thats total 20KM for today!)

This is a very unfair ending to the guy who started the moonwalking, not on space, but here on earth. Every teenager (including me when I was at the same stage of my life) who is a dance fanatic or a pop music lover, swears by his name. And whosoever boasts that he dances well, people just comment, "He thinks himself to be Michael Jackson ." Such a cold ending to the guy , is never fair. RIP, Jackson.

Just two weeks without work, and I feel bored (partly due to the fact that There is no more prison break, no more heroes, no more Big Bang theory!, a Dexter and Mythbusters). Thought of doing something in Android (The still shining Mobile OS from Google, though they say it is from the Open Handset Alliance ;) ) I also thought I will give shape to 2 of my long pending projects, FM jammer and cardapult. But man, it really needs lot more than thought to get things moving. As soon as I am assigned some work, I feel like "Man, can't they wait a little more time, so that I am done with what I want to do?" But the reality is, I am really not going to do, unless there is any motivation. I need some motivation. Is anybody listening???

With the UPA coming back to centre again, there are a new breed of Ministers, with another handful of them trying to get hand on one. But then, it all depends on how well do you impress the High Command! One burning example is the MEA, Ministry of External Affairs. Any sane man would reccomend Shashi Tharoor for the job, as none befits the post better than him. But, as the High Command would please, the race was between Kapil Sibal and SM Krishna, and Krishna won! I don't deny that Krishna too does have the exposure to External Affairs, but he is not the best out there! I believe Tharoor is paying the price for not being an sychophant.

I don't watch cricket. Not like this! But man, if you stay with friends, you have to watch, thats compulsory. So yes, I had to watch the "Manoranjan ka Baap No 2". I supported Bangalore. And it lost, and they lost psychologically even before they lost it on real. I really don't think anybody on particular can be blamed, but I liked Symonds. The way he was sledging this Manish kid, awesome! Sad, sad day for me. Don't call to tease saying that we lost.

Hi Fellas, Here I am again to chatufy you(!) This time, I am blogging from Bengaluru International Airport Limited (a PPP Project). Man! The internet sucks here!. Yes, they have wifi, they say it is free of cost, but dude, why the hell they take that UDF (User Development Fee) for? The speed has a variance that is more than its mean (one time it showed 1Mbps uplink and downlink, and now it is 0.3 Mbps Uplink and 0.1 Mbps downlink!) To top it all, you can't visit the sites you like (No dude, not porn, I checked out all torrent sites), The torrent clients too don't work! And I couldn't connect to VPNs too (I use 2 VPNs, none of them connected!) Man, is it only for checking mails??? Anyway, the good news is, I am off to Bhubaneswar , see ya there!

Man! I voted for the first time! Even if these guys here in Karnataka made me Patil from Pati, and changed my Dad's name, and reduced my age by 2 years, changed the polling booth overnight, but at the end of the day (hey, that should be the start of the day, I voted at 8AM! (Don't ask me how I woke up, another fine gentleman called Banty woke me up to check his polling booth on the net, not to reveal he is 1500KMs away!)) But! I voted! Hi fellas, I am back again! (I can't remember when I was playing forward ;) ) Infosys says, No hikes, no cuts, no layoffs this year. Well what about those 2100 that you layed off last week??? I really doubt Infosys's honesty now (With clients as well as with employees). IBM allegedly will not pay for Tea and Coffee from May 1. Media says IBM sent a mail regarding this. Where is the mail? Hi guys, here I come again to chatufy you, but now, I have serious competition, thanks to MTV!  Well, well, I am not talking about Roadies 6 which is won by Sufi  , I want to rant about Splitsvilla, to be specific, Splitsvilla2. I am not a fan of Reality shows, but the turn of events that goes in this series, keeps me glued to it. First of all, one of my friend opines "These fellas seem to be hanging out at somewhere in Delhi and Chandigarh, the MTV crew just went there and picked everybody up, there is no other explaination that how these guys knew each other!" When I thought of posting something today, the first breeze that went past through my mind is do I really want to post something? Then I thought, why the hell did I register my domain at the first place? Then it did occur to me, I got it for free!
