Rock on - is it rocking?
Its probably one and half months since I posted something. I thought I would tweet to make up my absence in blogosphere, but that didn't happen either. But I was kind of forced to put on this post.
There is yet another reality show, called Rock On, which aims to create a Desi band and send them to the MTV show in somewhere in US. The honourable judges are Mr. Ram Sampath, Mr Nikhil Chinappa and Mr Kailash Kher.
Nikhil : Judges pagalpan (Craziness), says he doesn't know what is it, but would know if you have it! what crap!
Ram : judges Music. Period.
Kailash : Judges desipan.
On a vanila day, the judges will speak something like this.
Nikhil : Wow! That was ... Awesome! ... What was that shit? It didn't sound like music, it was all noise! This is not rock! (As if he member of some rock band since his birth!)
Ram : (Trying to cover up Nikhil's blunders in judgement) That was full noise and it was great! I liked it!
Then, like some high school history teacher
Mr. X, you sounded exactly like Band Y's(some obscure band which could not sell even 10 copies) guitarist Z (was manageable, considering the Band's wholesome performance.)
Same goes for other people in that band.
After a few episodes, I felt that if Ram were true, all the musicians in the show are all fake, trying to copy someone, and get caught red handed by Ram while trying to do so. I wonder when would he be in the Copyright Infringement Prevention Board, so that all the plagiarism in bollywood would vanquish. (BTW, he recognised his music being used by the Roshans' in Crazzy 4, a feet reproducible by the likes of Anu Malik, Pritam etc)
Mr. Kailash : Mujhe yeh jo sangit tha, yeh samajh mein nahi aya. Par maine isku dhun pakad liya aur bahut upbhog kiya. Tumhe apne gayaki mein aur dhyan dena chahiye. Rock sangit main manushya ke awaz ka bahut mahatwa rehta hai blah blah blah...
Got nothing more to say. The idiot box is full of crap, and there is no way you can stop the shit hitting the fan.
